Richard Baker is an English photographer whose projects and assignments appear in books, magazines and company image collections. He is perhaps best-known for his collaborations with Alain de Botton on 'The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work' (Hamish Hamilton, 2009) for 'A Week at the Airport: A Heathrow Diary' (Profile Books) and for Red Arrows, his own reportage about Britain's Royal Air Force aerobatic team (Dalton Watson, 2005). A collection of reportage projects are being considered for some form of iPad publication. They may follow geographical or merely themes on the incongruous and the everyday, while always having more than a passing thought for the aesthetics of aviation, industry and urban landscape. Richard also writes about stories of the wider world and photography updates through a blog and @bakerpictures on Twitter. |
